Larry De Paul
Larry De Paul was born and raised in Whatcom County, Washington. He attended Bellingham High School, Western Washington University, Gemological Institute of America, Page Navigational School. US Naval Fire Fighting and Damage Control School, Texas A & M Standard Marine Fire School, USMM Radar School, and Texas A & M Advanced Marine Fire School. Larry was a partner in a jewelry manufacturing & retail company, art gallery, and an import/export Corporation. After retiring from those three businesses, Larry joined the US Merchant Marines and worked for ARCO Marine starting as a Messman, working his way through the ranks until 81/2 years later he had earned a USMM Master’s or Captain’s license. He continued to sail as a Navigation and Medical Officer until he retired in 1992. He then purchased Cady Lake and built his Fly Fishing Resort, Cady Lake Manor, which he continues to operate. Larry became a board member in 2009.
